Selling ruby excavated from Greenland offers many advantages. The pricing of Greenlandic ruby aligns with market values of rubies of similar qualities from other locations. Additionally, some of the material is faceted. Transparent, translucent, and semi-opaque cabochons, up to 50 carats in size, are available. Greenlandic ruby and pink sapphire vary in colour, ranging from deep red to hot pink and lighter shades of pink, which are pink sapphire. Greenland Ruby’s sorting house and corporate offices are located in Nuuk, the nation’s capital, while the sales and marketing division is headquartered in New York. The site is operated by LNS Greenland A/S-a sister company of Greenland Ruby, which is in charge of sorting, selling, and marketing the material. What’s more, they are found in three billion-year-old rock formations, which some geologists believe are the oldest on earth.
